Visual Art Exhibit and Opening Reception
Featured Visual Artist: Mr. Stephen Rust of Columbia, Missouri.

An Opening Reception will be held on Wednesday, August 20th, 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the
Hain House, 412 Fourth Street, one and a half blocks from Thespian Hall.
The exhibit will be open prior to each performance beginning at 6:30 p.m.
at the Hain House.
Thursday, August 21 ~ 8:00 p.m.
Tin Pan Alley Serenade
Vocalist Erin Bode returns to join
David Halen and friends
on stage for an evening of familiar
tunes as well as some fun surprises.
 
Friday, August 22 ~ 8:00 p.m.
Music Inspired by the Night
An evening of music inspired by the night including Moonlight Sonata
performed by Ching-Wen Hsiao as well as other pieces performed
by a collection of world-class musicians
including David Halen and Mark Sparks.
Saturday, August 23 ~ 8:00 p.m.
Missouri River Festival Chamber Orchestra
The Missouri River Festival Chamber Orchestra composed of world-class
musicians, joined this year by Yolanda Kondonassis, recognized as one
of the world’s foremost harpists. The evening will feature bold,
exciting pieces that are sure to please.

Join us for birthday cake on the Plaza sponsored by Citizens Bank & Trust and
entertainment by Vine Street Jazz followed by a FREE performance at
Thespian by Coronet Chop Suey,
the St. Louis Swing & Jazz Band on Tuesday, July 3, 2007.

Mr. Pete Christus III, a native of Boonville has been selected as the Visual Artist
for the 2007 Missouri River Festival of the Arts.
An Opening Reception will be held on Wednesday, August 22nd at the
Hain House, 412 Fourth Street, one and a half blocks from Thespian Hall.

Thursday, August 23rd – 8:00 p.m.
The Music of Rachmaninoff, Tchaikovsky and Brahms
This very special evening will debut the
Steinway grand piano, a gift from the
Boonslick community to Thespian Hall in
honor of 150 years of memories.  Nationally acclaimed pianist, Wendy Chen will be
featured and will be joined by David Halen, vocalist Miran Halen, Amy Oshiro, Daniel Lee
and Mike Chen.


Friday, August 24th – 8:00 p.m.
An Evening of Tango Music
Colorful & fun tango music will fill Thespian Hall, Among the selections will be
“The Seasons in Buenos Aires” which is a follow-up to last year’s popular
performance of Vivaldi’s “Four Seasons”…..but with a Latin American twist!

Patron Evening
Following the performance, a special reception is held for the people
whose contributions make the Missouri River Festival of the Arts a reality –
our Patrons.
Held in historic Turner Hall.


Saturday, August 25th – 8:00 p.m.
Classical Delight Missouri River Festival Chamber Orchestra
The finest musicians from the St. Louis Symphony and around the country
perform familiar pieces including opening with Copland’s “Appalachian Spring”,
followed by Tchaikovsky’s “Serenade for Springs Op. 48” and concluding with Gershwin’s “Rhapsody in Blue”. Festival Finale A Festival tradition for 32 years,
the Festival Finale is held following the final performance. Held in historic
Turner Hall, it features wine, beer, food and merriment.
